Bobbi and Emily

Today I took my friend Emily, who is 10 years old, to see The Wizard of Oz at The Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, in Ft. Myers, FL. We went to the matinee and had lunch. This was Emily's first time to see a play and wow did she ever enjoy it. The food was wonderful and the play was great. The costumes were extremly well done and colorful. I enjoyed seeing this play through the eyes of a young lady. I felt like a young lady myself.

Emily is very creative, like me, and we have a ton of fun in my studio. We enjoy making greeting cards as well as many other mixed-media art projects. I love having a friend like Emily who appreciates the arts and is willing to come along side of me, not only to learn a few new things, but to teach me a few things.

OUR WORDS

Today in church we learned that the words we speak are very important. They can either bring life or death to a person and even ourselves. I know for myself when people speak kind and encouraging words to me then I feel lifted up and even loved. We live in a hurting world and hurting people tend to hurt others. We don't know what is going on in lives of the people we meet and how a kind word might make all the difference in the decisons they make that day.

ABOUT ME

I am first and foremost a child of God. I am a mixed media artist using different mediums, such as pastels, colored pencils, inks, watercolors and more. I love making greeting cards and I have quite a collection of rubber stamp images. My artwork has been published in Scrap & Stamp magazine. I thoroughly enjoy reading and studying the Bible and going to Bible Studies with my friends and having lunch afterward. I am truly a woman who enjoys life and I look forward to each new day.
